I went to new york on an airplane.

28.5 I went to the natural history museum. I saw lots of butterflys and I went to the spase show. I lernt how earthquakes happen. To pieces of earth bend together and make a ckrak and then agen.

29.5 We went to central park. When we got ther we had a picnic. after that I went to the play ground I got soking wet by Jumping in a fawnting. Then we went to the zoo. One of the pengwins was very funny because it did a poo poo and it jumpd of a rock and fell in the pool of warter upside down!

30.5 today we went to the bronx zoo. we went on the skyfari and monorail we learnt that popil are chopping down the rianforist to make furnicher. me and my dady went on the bug carousel and I went on a ladybug as thay call it her. we went to the chidrens play ground and I went down a slide that had been bilt in a tree. This is Things abawt an Elerfant. elefants are big greay amenels with trunks. They skwort warter with thees long tuobse. This keeps them cool. They have 40,000 musels in ther trunks.

31.5 We went to American girl. We got a flaper dress for her. I got the one that macht. after lunch we went to the Temple of dendoor. I froow coins in the warter.

1.6 We went shoping. I bought fairy books and I read them in the stroler (its atchely a push cher). at lunch time we went to lunch and I got clam shells. I had room sirvise for tea.

2.6 my daddy mummy and I went to the comverse shop to buy shoes for my frend georgia. Then I went to a play ground. mummy and I went to the balette of cinderella. it was fantastic! the pumpcin was amasinge. Then we walkd home in the rain. When we got home we wer soking wet.

Yes, this month Ella went to New York, as she explains above. She visited the usual haunts (Central Park Zoo, American Museum of Natural History, Metropolitan Museum) and showed particular interest in the Earth Sciences display at the AMNH, thanks to her newfound interest in natural disasters. The highlight of the trip (for Ella, at least) was buying an American Girl doll with a matching flapper dress for Ella, which she then wore all day. Ella was also very co-operative during a shopping day in SoHo, during which she sat in Miles's pushchair (or should that be stroller?) and read fairy books.

Once back in London, Ella became obsessed with Greek myths, and the story of Theseus in particular. One night she even lay down on the floor to read them after her bath. She also gave Miles a medical check-up and played with him in the wigwam in the garden. Finally, Ella attended the social event of the year at her school: the camp-out on the sports field, at which she played with her friends in her tent, ran around with glowsticks, and so on. Phew!
