Ella!

This week Ella said her first word, and that word was 'blue'. Ella was reading her book of colours, where each page has the name of a colour and a suitably coloured object. When it came to the blue page, Ella said 'boo', and she only says it when shown that page. Having got the hang of things, Ella also says 'boo' at a particular page in her Madeline book, where Madeline meets a tiger and says 'pooh-pooh'. This was Ella's last week in San Francisco, so she went to the cable-car museum to say goodbye to her beloved cable cars. She also visited the Botanical Gardens and the Japanese Tea Garden. She enjoyed sitting in the laundry basket with her toys, and then throwing them all out of it. And she went to a Mexican restaurant in the Mission District, where she tried guacamole (yuk), tortillas and some of a burrito (yum). Now, back to London.
