Ella!

Ella's hair keeps getting lighter. But will it stay that way? Her dad started off blonde but it didn't last. Evidence from her mother, on the other hand, suggests that Ella's cheeks are likely to remain chubby for some time. This week Ella has learned how to drink through a straw, and how to dip chips in tomato ketchup before eating them. Her latest word is "na-na-na" which means "round and round". This is very useful for singing songs about the wheels on the bus, but also for pointing out propellers, washing machines, hanging mobiles, etc. Ella also indicates toes, feet, knees, tummy, hands, mouth, nose, ears and hair when asked. For anyone interested in Ella's curious language we have decided to compile a phrasebook -- watch this space. Finally, here is one of Ella's drawings. When asked, she always says her drawings are of the same thing: a dog. Or Che Guevara (as the phrasebook will explain).
