This week Ella has been cuddling properly and saying "Aaah" while doing so. She has also tried walking, sort of, when supported by both hands: she puts one foot in front of the other, but only walks on tip-toes. She has three new teeth coming through: two on top and one below, bringing the total to nine. New words include "Boo-booow" (literally, blue ball, meaning blueberry, a popular form of Gah) and a very similar sound that means "purple". Ella is getting better at recognising different colours (Boo, Ga, Boo-booow, Ya-ya) but there are still times when she insists that everything is blue. Ella also says "Prrr" (please), and "Jaah" (cheers), at which point she will bang her cup into your glass, and insist on doing this again and again, so that nobody gets to drink anything. When she wakes up in the morning, Ella often free-associates in her cot, listing everyone she knows (Mama, Dah, Na-na, Yee, Grah, etc) or shouting out things she would like to do (mainly Bah, which means she wants to go for a walk in the pushchair).
