Miles at Christmas

Miles enjoyed Christmas, though he wasn't really sure what do to with his stocking, or with wrapped-up presents. This was probably a good thing, since otherwise he might have tried to open everything. He enjoyed Christmas lunch (goose and roast potatoes) and also nibbled quite a lot of ham ("Am! Am! Um!"). And he was given lots of exciting new toys, including a rocket, some stacking Miffy blocks (which must be pushed over with a ritual cry of "Oh dear") and a wooden hammer set. This week Miles has also been playing with cars, and can now say "car" properly (though sometimes it comes out as "tar"). Another obsession is switching lights ("dah") on and off. New words include "fee" (feet), "tah" (cat), "tea" (any drink in a mug), "dah-doo" (dinosaur) and "nah-nih" (nappy). Miles also says "Alloo" into phones (and other things held up to his ear) and has decided that hair is called "ow", since that is what Ella says when he pulls it.
